In 2021, I learned the importance of COMMUNITY. I didn't know before how big of a deal it was! I thought, as a photographer who worked for herself, I could do my job, head down, work from home, meet clients, and be on my merry way. I was so wrong. Community is such a valuable part of our industry. Through attending styled shoots, reaching out to other photographers + videographers, and following many on social media, I now have a group of people around me that love the same thing I love. What a difference it makes!
The Equipped U was created because of this! I wanted to create a safe place for every single photographer to feel welcome. It doesn't matter how many followers you have, it doesn't matter how much you know, it doesn't matter how long you've been creating behind the lens- you are welcome here.
Photographer Mentorships
The details:
- $100 for 1 hour of tailored photography + business instruction
- Mondays or Thursdays
- Over Zoom or in person for West Michigan locals
This industry can feel lonely + overwhelming. Trust + believe, I've been there. In fact, I still face those emotions on occasion.
You might be overwhelmed by equipment options, intimidated by camera settings or editing, or stressed by social media. Maybe there's more that you're wondering about, and you just need someone to talk to Someone you can ask questions.
For me, mentorships were the answer. I was able to sit with a photographer and rapid fire questions at them. I learned so much.
And now, I want to share that knowledge with you. I want to share my mistakes with you. The things I wish I would've known earlier. I want to help you, in those overwhelmed moments, to feel excited and hopeful! I want to give you a game plan so that you can tackle the next busy season with so much confidence!
