Too often we let moments pass without documentation. Maybe it comes from being a history major in college, but I have always felt a strong urge to document + photograph everything. I was the kid that took the camera out of my dad's hands on family vacations. I photographed every single football and baseball game of my brothers. To me those seasons of life really mattered. I saw how much joy it brought my mom, and that's when it clicked- I could do this for others too. Since then, I've documented families' moments, engagements, weddings, senior graduations, and more. There's nothing that brings me more joy than capturing both the milestone moments and the mundane moments for people.
Every day, I get to do life with Jake, my absolute favorite person, in Holland. We love walking 8th Street any time of day, enjoying a town-classic breakfast at the Windmill (our order- hashbrown omlette, add sausage gravy + pepperjack. 15/10), playing another round of Phase 10, or loudly cheering on the Detroit Lions. But, I can't move seats, Jake's *very* superstitious when we are playing well.
My family is the light of my life — I have the kindest and most supportive parents, two brothers that make me laugh harder than anyone else, and two beautiful SILs. I would move mountains for these people, and I know they would do the same for me.
If I'm not working, you can find me in one of these places:
- at the Lake
- in the book aisle of Target
- at the farmer's market
- cuddled up on my couch watching Chopped
- driving all the way to Trader Joe's just for flowers
I'm here to serve + love you. That's what I'm about- loving others well + celebrating with JOY. To me, that means giving you a high quality, 5 star experience from start to finish. In the days leading up to our time together I want you to feel valued and heard. When we are together I want you to feel beautiful and empowered. And after? I want you to feel like "wow, that was pretty easy!" That's when I know I did my job well. No matter what stage of life you're in, whether a big milestone or just another mundane moment, I would love to document it for you.
I've never described myself as a creative or artsy person. I am, however, deeply emotional + sentimental. Moments matter to me. Anticipating moments matters to me. On your wedding day, my camera is always, always, always up; I'm ready for any tears that fall, warm embraces between loved ones, contagious, bellowing laughter that echoes through your cocktail hour. Those are the moments you'll relive in your gallery. I promise you.
There is no pressure to perform in front of my gallery. You matter. Your story matters. Let's tell it.
